What is an OEM?

OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, or to make it more simple, companies who manufacture their own mobile phones in their own factories for example Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and Huawei. OEMs not only develop and manufacture their own mobile devices but also offer their own dedicated app stores like Apple’s iOS App Store and Google’s Google Play Store to provide a variety of apps that can be used on the dedicated mobile phone.
